Six Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in West bank

At least six Palestinians have been killed and 35 injured in attacks by Israeli forces in the unstable occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to Health Ministry officials.

The Palestinian Authority had earlier claimed that US President Donald Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank would incite violence against Palestinians, saying in a statement that “Lifting sanctions on extremist settlers encourages them to commit more crimes against our people.”

According to detainees’ advocacy organizations, the Israeli army arrested at least 20 additional Palestinians during recent military incursions in the occupied West Bank.

According to a joint statement from the Palestinian Prisoner Society and the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs, two women were among the detainees in the raids that targeted Hebron, Qalqilya, Nablus, and Ramallah.

According to the statement, during the raids, Israeli soldiers questioned scores of Palestinians in several locations before releasing them.

According to a spokesman for the foreign ministry, Qatar is certain that the agreement it assisted in mediating for a truce between Israel and Hamas addressed all the significant problems involved in the conflict.

Four Israeli women soldiers will be released this week in return for 200 Palestinian inmates, including some serving life and high-term sentences, according to a Hamas official.
