Over 100 people have been killed in Gaza since ceasefire deal announcement

Israeli assaults in Gaza have killed at least 103 Palestinians and injured over 264 others,since the current ceasefire agreement was announced.

The spokesperson for Gaza’s civil defense department, Mahmoud Basal, stated that the most recent death toll included 27 children and 31 women.

The deaths followed the announcement on Wednesday of a ceasefire deal that would go into effect on Sunday.

According to Basal, 82 of the total deaths occurred in the northern governorates of Gaza, while 16 occurred in the southern areas, including two in Rafah and 14 in Khan Younis. The five individuals who remained were slain in Gaza’s central governorate.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s war in Gaza has resulted in at least 46,788 Palestinian deaths and 110,453 injuries. During that day’s Hamas-led strikes in Israel, at least 1,139 people were murdered and over 200 were captured.II

In addition to extensive destruction and a humanitarian crisis that has killed several elderly people and children in one of the biggest worldwide humanitarian disasters ever, the war has left over 11,000 individuals missing.
