As Israeli forces continue their bombardment of Gaza, the humanitarian crisis in the region has reached new levels of devastation. Over the past 24 hours, dozens of Palestinians lost their lives, including civilians in the so-called “safe zone” of al-Mawasi in southern Gaza.
These attacks are a part of Israel’s ongoing military operation, which has been intensifying since October 2023, leading to widespread destruction and loss of life. Recent Israeli attacks across Gaza and killed more fifty-eight Palestinians in a day.
In addition, the Israeli military latest targets were civilians in the north, Shujayea neighbourhood. The civilians are panic and trying to escape. They are seeking new area with ‘partial safety’. The Israeli drones can be clearly seen in the skies.
The head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the agency responsible for Palestinian refugees, condemned Israel’s recent escalation. According to reports, attacks on schools and hospitals in Gaza have become disturbingly common, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation. The Kamal Adwan Hospital, located in the besieged northern part of Gaza, is one of the facilities under severe threat. Its director explained that following Israeli orders to evacuate the hospital.
