Iran’s Supreme Leader hails Palestinian resistance after Gaza ceasefire

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has praised the Palestinian resistance after the recent Gaza ceasefire. He credited the steadfastness and patience of the Palestinian people for forcing Israel to retreat. According to Khamenei, this development marks a major victory for the resistance movement.

He emphasized that Palestinians, despite enduring prolonged atrocities, have remained resilient. Their determination, he argued, has left Israel exhausted and humiliated. Khamenei highlighted that the Zionist regime failed to achieve its goals, including the destruction of Hamas and Gaza’s displacement. Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance continues to stand strong and ready for future challenges.

Furthermore, Khamenei reiterated Iran’s unwavering support for Palestine, declaring it a central issue in Iran’s foreign policy. He stressed that Iran views the Palestinian cause as its own and remains committed to supporting the resistance.

This sentiment aligns with recent statements from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, who called the ceasefire a “great victory.” The Guards also warned Israel against breaching the agreement and expressed readiness for any future confrontations.

The ceasefire agreement, mediated by international actors, aims to end 15 months of conflict in Gaza. It includes the exchange of Palestinian prisoners for Israeli hostages. However, its implementation has faced setbacks, as Israel accused Hamas of reneging on parts of the deal.

Khamenei’s praise of Palestinian resilience reflects Iran’s broader regional stance. His remarks aim to boost the morale of resistance movements and underscore Iran’s active role in opposing Israeli occupation. By supporting Palestine, Iran solidifies its position in the region’s geopolitical dynamics.
