Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved the dispatch of a high-level delegation to Qatar to continue talks. The delegation includes Mossad chief David Barnea, Shin Bet director Ron Bar, the Israeli army’s hostage affairs official Nitzan Alon, and Netanyahu’s political advisor Ophir Falk. However, a key sticking point remains: Hamas seeks guarantees that Israel will honor the deal’s second phase after the initial phase is completed.
