Israeli Army Withdraws from Tulkarem After Deadly Raid

The Israeli military ended a two-day raid in Tulkarem, West Bank, on Thursday. During the operation, they claimed to have seized explosives, weapons, and arrested suspects. Israeli forces engaged in direct combat with gunmen, resulting in nine deaths and 19 injuries, according to local health authorities.

This raid is part of frequent Israeli military actions in the West Bank, which have intensified since October 7, 2023, when the Gaza conflict began. Palestinians have also faced violence from Israeli settlers during this period.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reports that Israeli military actions in the West Bank have killed at least 834 people and injured over 6,500. In July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land illegal, demanding the removal of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
