Pakistan rebuts Indian Army Chief’s terrorism allegations

ISPR Rejects Allegations of Terror Links, Urges India to Accept Ground Realities

On January 15, 2025, Pakistan firmly rejected Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi’s recent terrorism allegations. In a strong statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) called these claims baseless and politically motivated.

According to the ISPR, accusing Pakistan of being the “epicentre of terrorism” is contrary to facts and highly misleading. The military emphasized that such remarks reflect India’s failure to address its own human rights violations. These include severe abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Furthermore, Pakistan highlighted the extreme politicization within India’s military leadership. The ISPR noted that these allegations serve as a distraction from India’s internal issues and global criticism.

The military strongly advised Indian officials to stop fabricating terror claims. Instead, they urged India to appreciate the actual ground realities. Pakistan also underscored its commitment to peaceful dialogue with India to resolve all outstanding disputes, including Jammu and Kashmir.

However, the ISPR clarified that India must create an enabling environment for meaningful negotiations. This includes ending its state-sponsored brutality and respecting international norms.

Pakistan further reminded the international community of an Indian military officer in custody for orchestrating acts of terror within Pakistan. This, they argued, highlights the duplicity in India’s accusations.

The exchange of accusations has heightened tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors. Pakistan insists that international bodies must take notice of India’s persistent human rights violations in IIOJK.

The ISPR concluded by urging India to move beyond baseless rhetoric. They stressed that regional stability requires mutual cooperation, not hollow allegations.
