Less than a week after sustaining knife injuries in a fight with an intruder at his home, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan discharged from hospital in Mumbai, on Tuesday, according to local media.
After midnight on Thursday, the intruder attempted to break into Khan’s home and stabbed him six times. Khan is 54. According to medics, he had surgery after suffering stab wounds to his hands, neck, and spine.
On Tuesday afternoon, Khan left the hospital. He waved his bandaged hand and grinned at TV cameras from his vehicle.
A guy believed to be a Bangladeshi national was taken into custody by police on Sunday in relation to the attack, and they are still looking into the incident. Using the name Vijay Das, the suspect was apprehended on the outskirts of Mumbai.
According to Dikshit Gedam, a deputy commissioner of police, the suspect is thought to be Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, who arrived in the city five or six months prior and was employed by a housekeeping agency.
