Saudi fast-food Albaik expected to open outlets in major cities of Pakistan

In a statement made in Jeddah on Saturday, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan announced that the Saudi fast-food chain Albaik has chosen to begin operations in Pakistan and is anticipated to open locations in major cities.

The minister met Pakistani workers at Albaik’s plants during his tour.

Albaik stated during the visit that it was nearing completion on its plan to begin operations in Pakistan after a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed.

According to a press release released here on Saturday, the talks, which took place during the inaugural made in Pakistan shows focuse on business partnerships, investment prospects, and Saudi companies joining the Pakistani market.

During a crucial discussion with well-known Saudi businesspeople, the Minister invited them to investigate investment prospects in Pakistan in the areas of consumer products, infrastructure, IT, healthcare, energy, and agriculture.

In addition to highlighting Pakistan’s 22% increase in exports to Saudi Arabia, which now total $700 million, he gave Saudi investors assurances about a business-friendly climate that includes tax exemptions, regulations protecting investors, and access to a consumer market of 240 million.

Saudi corporate executives showed a strong desire to work with their Pakistani counterparts, especially in the food, textile, and building materials sectors.

The Minister invited them to visit Pakistan and take part in trade shows including TEXPO, Food-AG, and the Healthcare & Mineral Show, and several initiatives to strengthen trade ties and industrial investment were addressed.

The recent ease-of-doing-business initiatives in Pakistan, such as the National Compliance Center and the Pakistan Single Window (PSW), which are intended to improve export standards and streamline trade processes, were also discussed.

The meeting between Minister Jam Kamal Khan and Rami Abu Ghazala, the owner of Albaik, was a significant highlight of the trip. During a visit of Albaiks’ operations, the Minister met Pakistani workers at the massive fast-food chain.

Following the signing of an MOU, Albaik indicated during the talks that it is expanding into Pakistan and that the process is nearing completion.

It is anticipated that the first Albaik locations in Pakistan would open soon, generating new employment prospects and enhancing bilateral economic relations.

The Minister welcomed the brand’s debut into Pakistan and praised the contributions made by Pakistani employees of Saudi companies like Albaik, emphasizing how it may improve the nation’s consumer market and fast-food sector.
