The blueprint for greater Israel: The role of the Gaza war in shaping a new middle east

The blueprint of Greater Israel

Since the outbreak of the 7th of October attacks, Israel has embarked on a systemic genocidal campaign against the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip on the dubious pretext of extermination of Hamas. However, as a result of the brutal and inhumane tactics of the Israeli Defense Forces, almost 45,000 civilian Palestinian populations massacred, with half of them were women and children.

Additionally, the destruction of schools, hospitals and basic infrastructure of the Gaza Strip has intensified the displacement and expulsion of 90% of the population. The state of Israel has its mission of clearing more and more territory from the Palestinian population for the creation of the Greater Israel Project.

Additionally, every Indigenous and foreign movement and voice, advocating for self-determination, sovereignty and independence of Palestinians based on UNO approval “Two State Solution” is equated with anti-Semitism for delegitimizing the political struggle of Palestinians for their homeland and rights.

Besides, through the Gaza War, Israel has wanted to expand its influence and power projection beyond its territory. For stance, Since the collapse of the Syrian regime- which was Pro-Iranian and a critical component of the axis of resistance- Israel has traded thousands of missiles strikes on Syria, destroying its critical infrastructure, and creating a sphere of influence. Moreover, with the continual destruction and decapitalization of Hamas and Hezbollah, the future of the entire axis of resistance is at stake.

With the loss of charismatic leaders like Hassan Nasrallah and Ismail Haniyeh both Hezbollah and Hamas are at their lowest, showing the fragility of the entire network backed by Tehran. Not to mention that the next target of Israel is going to Iran which it wants to provoke and trap in this conflict to achieve its strategic purpose: denuclearization and dethroning of the Khomeini regime in Iran.

However, without the relentless support of the USA, Israel can’t be successful in its nefarious plan of creating a new Middle East where it will be dominating power. Since the invasion of Gaza, the USA has provided political, economic, military and diplomatic support to the state of Israel for committing war crimes against humanity in Gaza and creating Greater Israel.

Due to the strong influence of the Jewish lobby inside Washington, both Democrats and Republicans are ardent supporters of Israel. And with the arrival of Trump at the White House, Israel will double down its efforts against Palestinians and goal of regional hegemony in the Middle East.

Lastly, it seems that the ruling elite of the Muslim World has remained insensitive and passive towards genocide, inhuman and expulsion of the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip, and practically it is quite shameful that no Muslim country has taken any practical steps to make accountability of Israel against its war crime against humanity.
